Note: Before updating you should
confirm that your
RTC-1000 Universal Employee Time Clock has a
prior version number installed and the update is required. In addition this update includes a new About Your Clock and User Guide/Information page under Help.
Update Instructions:
1. We recommend that you create a backup of your
time clock data before updating to the latest software. For instructions
on creating a backup refer to the
How to Create a Backup FAQ
2. You then need to download the
update.bin update file above to your desktop.
3. From the Time Clock Homepage toolbar select the
Files icon and then
System Update, as shown below.
4. Enter in your time clock password
on the following screen.
5. Next, click the Browse button,
as shown above, to locate and select the
update.bin file in the File Upload window. This
file should be located on your desktop.
6. Click the Open button on the
File Upload window.
7. Then, click the Submit button,
as shown above, in the
System Update
screen.
8. A pop-up window will then appear warning you to
save a backup of your data. If you followed the instructions on step 1,
disregard this message - Click
OK.
9. Your time clock will then begin the update
process and then automatically reboot. Wait for this process to
complete, it may take up to 15 minutes.
10. When the time clock is finished rebooting,
simply click on the
icon to log back in to your time clock.
NOTE: You may need to set the date and time
on the clock after applying the update.
