Solution:

Customers using USB connection should follow the steps below to troubleshoot connection issues.

NOTE:

 

Re-initiate Connection

  1. Unplug the USB cable and power from your time clock, wait a few seconds. Plug the cable and power back in. Wait for the clock to reboot.
  2. Unplug the USB cable from the PC and plug it into a different USB port.
  3. From your PC desktop, click on the Employee Time Clock Login icon.

 

Restart the Proxy Service

  1. From your PC, click on your Windows Start menu and go to Control Panel.
  2. Make sure you are in “Classic View” or View by “Small Icons”. Select Administrative Tools.
  3. In Administrative Tools, select Services.
  4. From Services, select Icon Time Systems.
  5. In the General tab, in the lower half of the screen, verify that the Service status is Started.
  6. Click Stop to stop the service.
  7. Click Start to restart the service.
  8. Close down the Control Panel windows and try to log into the time clock again.
  9. If the above steps do not work, reboot the computer and try logging back into the time clock.

 

Check your Web Browser Cache Settings:

Using Internet Explorer:

  1. Open Internet Explorer
  2. Click Tool icon (Gear icon upper right of the browser)
  3. Now select Internet Option 
  4. Below in Browsing History and click on Setting
  5. Now a windows will appear In Temporary Internet Files select automatically and write the size of memory you want to allocate at least 300 or more if you have lots of free storage.
  6. Click OK and save your changes
  7. Back in the Browsing History section, click on the Delete button.
  8. Select Temporary Internet files and website files
  9. Select Delete again.
  10. Click OK/Apply again to close the windows.

 

Using Firefox:

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Select Tools|Options|Advance.
  3. In Cache Web Content select Override automatic cache management
  4. Write the size of memory you want to allocate at least 300.
  5. In the Off-line storage section, select Clear Now.
  6. Click OK to save the setting.

 

Using Chrome:

  1. Right-click on the Google Chrome icon on the desktop.
  2. Select Properties.
  3. Go to the Shortcut tab.
  4. Find Target and click inside the box.
  5. Press End on your keyboard.
  6. Copy and paste the following to the end: â€“disk-cache-size-1000000
  7. Click OK to save the setting.
